Do online purchases count?
Qualifying online transactions can receive the exemption when the sale occurs during the week under Maryland’s rules.
State and local tax treatment
Maryland has no general local sales tax, so the holiday applies to the state sales tax.
Important limitation
Accessories and specialized equipment may not qualify even when sold by a clothing retailer.
